Synopsis

The apocalypse happened in a way where objects and living things, including humans, began to defy gravity and float into the sky. A group of scientists invented technologies to understand and halt the phenomenon but failed. Among their inventions are a quantum computer, an anchor chain system, and an android designed to use these tools to save the world from inevitable loss. A few years later, only a young girl and the android who survived lived in an old barn above the underground laboratory. As the girl’s caretaker, the android helps her secure her beloved toys by chaining them to the ground. As the story progresses, the horror is revealed as they wander through this post-apocalypse world full of lifeless floating objects forced to be chained to the ground– the technology can only keep physical forms, not souls and life. When they walk up a hill where a giant tree floats, the girl gives flowers to her parents' lifeless bodies among other scientists, who are chained to the ground to her decision. One day, the inevitable moment arrives when the android foresees the girl’s fate of horrible death in the same ways as others. Her special bond with the girl makes her hesitate about what to do. The android remembers the early memories of being a part of the girl’s family and understands that the girl clings to things because she is trapped in the memories of when her parents were still alive, which has ultimately caused much more pain than it should.  Eventually, the android breaks out of the program and develops her own will. In the final act of defiance, the android disables the chain system on everything, allowing the girl and her loved ones to ascend. As the girl floats into space, the android follows, using the chains to reach for the girl. In the end, the world is left with the remnants of lost things drifting in the void of space, the android and girl bound together in a final, irreversible fate – leaving Earth forever…
